DLCO test foresees that patient breathes a certain gas mixture. User is therefore required to procure a proper mixture gas cylinder that is also used for analyzer calibration.
COSMED recommends the use of cylinders with the following gas composition:
1 DLCO cylinder (calibration and testing) 0.3 % CO – 0.3 % CH4 – 21% O2 – balance N2
